Bakery van der Kleij may from now on call himself Ambachtsbakker van der Kleij. The name ‘Craftsman’ may not just be used by everyone. Only bakeries who work with the highest quality raw materials, who make fresh and especially traditional products in their own bakery and are passionate craftsmen, are allowed to wear this honorary title.
The family has been in the bakery for 85 years, but times are changing. Nico and his wife Andrea change with the times. Over the years, the business couple continued to invest in their bakery and their store. In this way they have always been able to guarantee the quality and provide as much service as possible to the customer. That they can now call themselves ‘Craftsman’ is a new crown on their work, after they had already won the title ‘best sausage roll of Brabant’ a few years ago. The bakery is thus taking a new step towards the future. The succession is also being worked on, because the 4th generation, son Jordi van der Kleij, is being prepared to take over the baton later.
